The Sequential Circuits Model 800 Sequencer
|
The Model 800 Digital Sequencer was one of Sequential's
earliest products. The eagle eyed will notice that the familiar SCI in
fact started as SCC, being Sequential Circuits Co. only later changing
to "Inc." The "Stop" font was used even in this version product but not
on the original wooden enclosed version which sported a short-lived logo
which never appeared again! |
Unlike true analogue sequencers, the Model
800 quantizes and records incoming control voltages digitally, together with their
timing information. Editing of pitch and measure is also possible. |
Sequences are recorded into one of the 16
"banks", each capable of holding 16 notes. These can then be
played back individually or as one continuous sequence playing from the
leftmost bank to the rightmost.

HELP NEEDED! |
I purchased a very poorly unit which
had been partly dismantled by a
parts hungry amateur radio enthusiast looking for some switches!!!!!!
Whilst now very nearly fully restored, if anyone has more info on this most
rare of sequencers, please feel free to contact me...
P.S. I have a copy of the user manual
