The 1033 contains two identical envelope generators. An
envelope generated by the 1033 may be defined by four adjustable
parameters: Attack Time, Initial Decay Time, Sustain Level and Final Decay
Time. The panel graphics emphasize the effects and use of these controls.
In addition, a Gate Delay control is provided to introduce a delay period
of 1ms to 3 seconds between the application of a trigger pulse and the
onset of the envelope attack.
An envelope is initiated when appropriate signals are
applied to the Gate and Trigger inputs. When used with an ARP keyboard,
the "Trigger Modes" switch gives the performer the option of of
generating a new envelope each time a new key is depressed (even if
another key is held down simultaneously ) or generating a new attack only
when all keys have been lifted first.
Attack, Initial Decay and Final Decay have times constants
variable between 0.001 seconds and 3 seconds whilst the sustain level is
variable from 0 to + 10 volts.
The rear panel of the 1033 has facility for the connection
of a sustain pedal.
